Zoe-perry

Perry was born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago, Illinois to Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the character. Perry did not decide to consider a career in acting until she reached the age of adulthood due to her parents being worried about the detrimental effects that stress could cause. Perry was shy in high-school and did not act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved to the university from Boston University. After graduating Perry moved to New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led her back to California and she was able to find acting work. Perry was a part of the cast with her mother as part of The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. Perry was in the show with their father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. Her father portrayed her in the ABC drama Scandal. The same year, she portrayed a child version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a youthful version. The role was given an audition to the actress, regardless of the fact that she has a family tie with the character.
